Maggie Macdonald

Maggie Macdonald

Maggie has worked as an organisational consultant for 18 years, propelling businesses to become sustainable and recognised leaders in their field.

She has worked strategically, supporting organisations to understand their professional development needs and identifying ways to implement innovative initiatives that lead to a streamlined, professional development process that is relevant, current and appealing to their employees.

Her breadth of work across government, corporate and not-for-profit organisations means that she has a finely tuned understanding of pathways to attract and develop a talent bank of highly skilled people who are sought after as recognised leaders in their field.

Ultimately she supports increasing effectiveness and productivity through the establishment of professional, outcomes based standards to ensure individual performance goals and strategic objectives are met.

Her work helps the employee answer questions such as, “What do I need to do to be a professional in this area?” And for organisations, “What should we be asking for when we want to recruit a professional into this role?” “Where should we invest in training and development?”

Sector Four Consulting

Maggie provides a practical toolkit of innovative initiatives and interventions to help individuals and organisations build identified skills. She worked for five years with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service implementing a change initiative wholly based on the organisation’s leadership framework that supported a shift from not-for-profit to market leader.

She provides a whole range of assessment methodologies that ensure individuals meet a defined standard in terms of their ability to consistently demonstrate competencies, thus validating an individual’s credibility to the marketplace and providing a real incentive for accreditation. She has worked with organisations such as the Australian Nuclear and Science, Technology Organisation (ANSTO), and industry bodies such as the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Heating (AIRAH). She has worked hand in hand providing streamlined developmental approaches for Spotless, Country Road, Cussons, Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE, Transurban CitiLink, RACV and ANZ Banking.

Maggie is qualified and practiced in a range of tools and diagnostics that help analyse gaps in critical performance skills and creates strategies which drive high levels of performance and personal work satisfaction. She has worked with John Swire & Sons, designing and delivering a series of developmental initiatives across five businesses such as the LSI 360° feedback diagnostic, providing insight into desired employee behaviours that drive performance.
